howardlh Member Posts: 3. February 2014. Have had the S7 392 8GB mem 256GB SSD, for three weeks and the Keyboard and Touch-pad stopped working. Have delivered the Notebook to ACER for repairs. Discovered that the ACER warranty does not cover the repair.not great!!! Have to pay in advance for the repair.

Answers. IIRC the touch driver and te graphics driver are two quite different things. The touchscreen digitizer looks to the system like a USB device, so a problem would show up in Device Manager either as a USB problem or a HID problem. Try W10 again but this time look into the different secions of DM for the issue.
Hi, Expand Security devices and try updating the driver and see whether it helps, Also go to BIOS, move to Main tab, while you are in Main tab, press Ctrl+S buttons and see whether you get the option for Touchpad. I just tried resetting the battery and sadly it didn't work. The BIOS is v1.19. The touchpad does not work in basic or advanced. I should also mention I've tried disabling and reenabling the touchpad with F7 (and fn + F7) and while it may show that the touchpad is enabled, it is not functioning. OK!
Go to ELAN Tab on Mouse Properties. The problems I see are that. 1) the "Enable Device" is ghosted (whether or not any external devices are plugged in) 2) "Disable when external USB pointing device plug in" is checked, even after I uncheck it and Restart. it sets this back to "checked" status no matter what.
